Museum Collaborates with MidPointe Library System in 4-Part Series

"The Voice of Truth in America: Celebrating 75 Years of the VOA Bethany Station" is a 4-event series collaboration between the MidPointe Library System and the National Voice of America Museum of Broadcasting:

Events commemorate the 75th birthday of the former VOA Bethany Station, now the National Voice of America Museum of Broadcasting.

The MidPointe Library Series includes:

Covering the White House and the World     Wednesday March 6, 7-9pm

Steve Herman, Voice of America White House Bureau Chief will give a lecture and field questions.

History of the VOA Bethany Station and the VOA Museum Today     Wednesday April 3, 7-8:30pm

John T. Dominic, Executive Director of the National Voice of America Museum of Broadcasting will share the history of the VOA and Bethany Station. He will discuss the extraordinary impact the programs broadcast from this hilltop in West Chester had globally.

The lecture is free with donations appreciated.

Ride the Radio Waves    Wednesday June 5, 1-3pm

Secrets of radio revealed! Make your first radio contact with an amateur radio operator (ham radio)! See radio waves in action and have FUN!!

This is a K-4 children’s STEM event.

This event is free and open to the public and is part of the VOA Museum/MidPointe Library Series.

THE DEMONSTRATION WILL BE AT THE LIBERTY CENTER LIBRARY LOCATION, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE SUMMER READING PROGRAM.

JAZZ!     Sunday August 25  2-4pm

Enjoy some great Jazz music on your Sunday afternoon.

The event will feature Lynne Scott, one of Cincinnati's premier vocalists with the Phil DeGreg Trio, performing classics from the Great American Songbook.

THE EVENT WILL BE HELD AT THE MIDPOINTE LIBRARY IN WEST CHESTER.
